And now Google Inc. will launch a fashion website.
Google Inc is all set to launch Boutiques.com, a fashion website. After Google’s acquisition of Like.com, it is readying to enter the fashion industry, said to be the fourth largest industry in the world. The acquisition has allowed Google to use high-tech image recognition technology which will allow customers to compare garments instantly and buy them online. The portal will direct users to websites like Net-a-porter and other designer websites. With Google’s foray into this domain, your favourite international designer would be just a click away. They have also roped in Hollywood stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Katie Holmes to set up personalised shops.
