If you thought Facebook was the exclusive abode of the young, look up Lilian Lowe. At 103, the Briton is the oldest person on Facebook, and she uses it intensively to stay in touch with her extended family, with seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. And if that weren’t enough, Lowe goes one up. She logs on to Facebook using an Apple iPad, no less. It may look and feel like a toy, but the iPad can be quite complicated for people who aren’t used to technology, it being at the ‘cutting edge’ and all. “I love it—it’s very exciting. It’s a wonderful way of finding out about things. I recommend it for any grandparents to keep in touch with family,” Lillian says. The lady, who remembers the Titanic sinking in 1912, shows more restraint than kids today. She has  only 34 ‘friends’ on Facebook.
