Drew Barrymore got knocked about, quite literally, while filming Whip It, injuring her leg in the bargain. Both Drew and her co-star Juliette Lewis got hurt during various action scenes on the sets of the film, which incidentally is directed by Drew herself and tells the story of a beauty pageant contestant who decides to toughen up and join a roller derby league. Drew told E! Online: “We were wrestling and rolling around on the track, one of our skates and both our body weights were on my thigh. I had a bruise that was a foot long and a foot wide. My entire leg was covered. I don’t think there’s anything hotter or more fun to do than a girl fight!”
