A campaign called ‘Vindaloo against Violence’ believes Indians and Australians can come together by sharing curry. It calls on Australians to show their solidarity with ‘racist attack’-affected Indians by hitting curry houses next week. Mia Northrop, a designer in Melbourne, has cooked up the campaign. The BBC says the event has also caught the attention of Australian PM Kevin Rudd. A traditional Goan dish of meat, cooked in vinegar, spices and garlic, vindaloo is one of the most popoular Indian cuisine exports abroad.
