Kerala Tourism department decided webcasted the last two days of the grand Arattupuzha Pooram festival to reach out to thousands of devotees.
Kerala Tourism recently came up with a unique initiative that combines technology and religion. The department decided to webcast the last two days of the grand Arattupuzha Pooram festival so as to reach out to thousands of devotees across the country. Web users were thrilled to be able to witness the grandeur and opulence of the celebrations. The Arattapuzha temple has been performing the Pooram for more than 1,400 years now and is known for its elaborate and visually-stunning rituals. The state tourism department hails this as a first-of-its-kind endeavour in the country and hopes that efforts like these will create awareness of the traditions and culture of Kerala.
