India’s first and probably most popular comic-porn site savitabhabhi.com appears to be blocked by internet service providers like BSNL and Airtel, fans of Savita Bhabhi have informed the anonymous creator who goes by the name Deshmukh. A young, shapely housewife with dire needs, Savita Bhabhi is extremely popular.

When Open contacted  BSNL and Airtel officials, they had nothing to say. Legally, the site has no respite as online pornography is banned in India. Says Supreme Court advocate Gopal Sankaranarayanan, “ISPs are well within their rights when they block a porn site.”

Once among the top 50 sites in India, Savita Bhabhi’s online traffic reduced by almost half recently. But Nikhil Hemrajani of gadget magazine T3, says: “People can access it through proxy sites like hidemyass.com or anonymouse.org.”

Deshmukh has started a twitter account in retaliation as Thedeshmukh, for SB fans unwilling to give her up.
