The worst rainfall in Chennai for 100 years has left the city battered. Over 190 lives have been claimed by the downpour so far, with several neighbourhoods flooded beyond recognition. The Tamil Nadu government has pegged the cost of rain damage at Rs 8,481 crore. The Met Department expects no let up in precipitation over the next seven days
