The International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) is the largest chain of premier hospitality and hotel management schools across India that started its journey in 1994 in Kolkata. This institute is a part of Indismart Group, the conglomerate that operates the Indismart Hotels. Leading from the front is an icon in hospitality education, Dr Suborno Bose, the Founder and Chief Mentor of IIHM and chairman of Indismart Group. He has enriched the hospitality education sector with his extensive experience of almost three decades and his revolutionary ideas and innovations in the hospitality education sector. He has pioneered initiatives like the International Young Chef Olympiad, Young Chef India and Young Chef India Junior. He also earmarked International Hospitality Day, celebrated every year on April 24.
IIHM is known for its Teaching, Training, Research, Placements, and Infrastructure that it provides to its students. At the core of the curriculum lies the objective of designing Career Building Programmes, Progressive Teaching Methodology, Mentoring and Student Development, Global Networking and Alumni. It is also the only hotel school in India that is attached to a hotel itself in Kolkata and Goa which ensures that students get maximum practical exposure in their field of work. Following a truly international curriculum, IIHM offers a BA Hospitality Management from the University of West London. Students can also choose to pursue a Bachelor in Tourism Studies from IGNOU.
IIHM is known for its placements and exposure opportunities, be it an internship or securing a job after graduation. IIHM has the highest number of student placement records. The graduates receive exceptional placements from around the world.
