Amrita University offers answer for all your concerns regarding higher education
Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is one such university where you get answers to all you need to know. Some of the features that make it different from other higher learning centres in the country are its innovative courses that nurture the in-born talents of students and make them future-ready, its experienced faculty, its solid infrastructure, and its collaboration with foreign universities. The challenging decisions about where to study and what to study are well supported and you need not worry.
Amrita has seven campuses across the country in Amaravati, Amritapuri, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kochi, and Mysuru, and the eighth will start soon in Faridabad in Delhi NCR. The university offers a wide array of multi-disciplinary programs which include Engineering, Sciences, Medicine, Allied Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Nanosciences, Management, Agriculture, Social Work, Pharmacy, Nursing, Mass Media, Communications, Commerce, Philosophy, and Arts & Humanities. In 2021, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) accredited Amrita with ‘A++’, the highest grade possible, and in 2022, Amrita emerged as the fifth best university in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). In addition, NIRF ranked Amrita’s School of Medicine in Kochi the eighth best for medical education.
The university has found its place in global rankings, as well. One of the most prestigious is the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings, a pioneering initiative to recognize universities around the world for their social and economic impact in support of a sustainable future. THE ranked Amrita number 41 out of all institutions and it was the only university in India to reach the top 50.
Part of that achievement is supported by Amrita’s collaborations with leading universities and other cutting-edge institutions that are searching for solutions to the challenges humanity faces. In its short life span of 18 years-young for a university-Amrita has signed more than 200 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Partners include highly respected organizations such as Harvard University, Columbia University, King’s College London, KTH – Royal Institute of Technology, VU Amsterdam, the British Geological Society, University of Oxford, Italian National Research Council, Deakin University, and the University of Tokyo.
Moving forward into the 2022-23 academic year, Amrita is starting its first batch of four-year UG courses in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s new National Education Policy (NEP). The framework represents historic reform through a paradigm shift in the country’s education system and supports a more holistic and scientific approach to learning.
