Established in 1998, AKGEC is a premier institution dedicated to academic excellence blended with holistic, value-based education. Approved by AICTE and affiliated to AKTU, Lucknow, the college offers B.Tech, M Tech and MCA programs. AKGEC holds the unique distinction of being the only engineering college under AKTU to be awarded the NAAC A++ grade.
Spread across a lush, Wi-Fi-enabled 45- acre campus, AKGEC offers world-class infrastructure, including smart classrooms, advanced labs, computing facilities, automated libraries, and modern hostels. Under the visionary leadership of Director General Dr. R.K. Agarwal—an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, CIT UK, and IISc Bangalore—the college has maintained a consistent record of academic excellence. Students have won the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for five consecutive years and the AKTU Distinguished Alumnus Award for two years in a row.
AKGEC has strong industry connect with Centres of Excellence established in collaboration with global leaders such as KUKA Robotics, Bosch Rexroth, Fronius, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric and others. These centres provide industry relevant training in robotics, automation and advanced manufacturing. Other facilities include an Electric Vehicle Centre, and a DGCA approved Drone Academy— making AKGEC the second academic institution in India, after IIT Guwahati, to award Drone Pilot Licenses. In line with the Skill India Mission, the AKGEC Skills Foundation has been created as a funded training partner of NSDC. Notably, AKGEC is the only engineering institution in Uttar Pradesh to establish a Common Facility Centre under the ODOP scheme, inaugurated by Hon’ble CM Yogi Adityanath Ji.
Innovation thrives at AKGEC through the Fab Lab, and the Incubation Centre, fostering creativity, and entrepreneurship. With over 1,400 placements last year—including multiple packages above `20 LPA, the highest being `1.13 crore —AKGEC’s strong industry alignment is clearly evident.
At AKGEC, value education forms the cornerstone of holistic learning. Through workshops, courses, and immersive experiences, the college nurtures empathy, integrity, and social responsibility—shaping not just skilled professionals, but ethical individuals committed to societal well-being and global harmony.
