Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Established in 1998, the college has six engineering departments offering B.Tech programs in twelve disciplines. The college also offers postgraduate programs in Computer Application (MCA) and M.Tech in four engineering disciplines. All five major B.Tech Programs are accredited by NBA. The college has attained another remarkable achievement by becoming the only Engineering college in UP (AKTU) to be awarded A++ grading by NAAC.
The college has been consistently maintaining excellent results with large number of its students appearing in AKTU merit lists every year with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The college students have also received the AKTU Chancellor’s Medal for best performance across all B.Tech branches for five consecutive years. It is a matter of pride that the AKTU Distinguished Alumni Award has been bagged by AKGEC students for two consecutive years since its inception in 2020.
The college has the distinction of being the only college to receive the Academic Excellence Award for Best Engineering College in UPTU (now AKTU) for two successive years from the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. The college is also the recipient of the Best Industry Institute Interface award conferred by the Minister of Science & Technology, U.P. Government, as well as by the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K.
The college also conducts a number of industrially relevant programs to make its students globally employable.
The college has established a number of Centres of Excellence in collaboration with eminent multinational industries like Kuka Robotics, Bosch Rexroth, National Instruments, Siemens, Mitsubishi Electric, Fronius, Janatics India, Automation Industries Association, Pepperl & Fuchs, B&R and Festo. The primary objective of these centres is to provide industry relevant training in inter-disciplinary state-of-the-art technologies to bridge the gap between academic curriculum and industry needs.
