Digital Education factors such as personalised and adaptive learning platforms, softwares and digital devices are together creating countless new ways to modify education.

Noida International University was established on 10th October 2010 under the banner of Maruti Educational Trust by the Act 27 of State Govt. of U.P.The 75 acres campus of the Noida International University is strategically located in Educational Hub of Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida. NIU, through its 11 schools is offering more than 150 programs in various disciplines. Today, Noida International University has more than 5000+ students on roll in 11 Schools.

The University is a second home to foreign students from more than 28 countries around the globe, which itself speaks of NIU’s international repute. The foreign students contribute to more than 20-25% students of the total student intake every year. To create world class scholars, the university moulds the intellect and also gives quality knowledge for acquisition. NIU also emphasizes on character building & personality development that helps students find a rightful place in the society.

NIU is in the midst of administrative, academic and examination reforms. It has a fully functional ERP to make administrative system proactive. In it’s endeavour to be environmentally friendly NIU follows a no paper policy. The admission processes are online and campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Keeping in mind the current international scenario and need of industry, Noida International University rigorously revises the syllabi of all the courses & programs, for which the expertise of several external experts from Academia, Industry, Govt. & Corporate Sectors are invited. Admissions in various programs are made purely on merit basis. In Engineering & Architecture, admissions are through competitive JEE-CSAB & NATA, in addition to NIU’s own entrance exam named NSAT.

Noida International University has introduced Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) to empower students by facilitating mobility across disciplines as per their inclination, aptitude & at the same time fostering quality research. The university has formulated Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) with accordance to National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) for quality enhancement and sustenance. As per the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) and University Grant Commissions (UGC), National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) has also been recently launched where students from undergraduate and post graduate courses are enrolled.

The university has established tie-ups with various international universities to offer study programs that would help the student and faculty gain international perspective in the chosen field of study. The courses enable the students to enhance their career opportunities. Such collaboration generates an opportunity of student and faculty exchange amongst the universities.

The university had signed Memo- randum of Understanding (MOU) with New York Institute of Technology, USA, King’s University College at Western University, London & Canada, Academy of Governance of Fujian Province, China, University of Tabuk Saudi Arabia, Hindu College of University of Delhi. Currently, the university has partnered with other academic institutions such as: Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Maribor (Slovenia), Fort Hays State University, USA and Global Alliance World Educational Consortium Bangalore (GAWECB).

Apart from these institutions, Noida International University has partnership with various healthcare partners such as VIMHANS Hospital, Jaypee Hospital, APRC centres such as Fortis hospital Safdurjang Enclave, Gautam Buddha University Medical block. The university has a stellar placement record with students from nursing and paramedical streams getting placed at hospitals of great repute namely, Max, Jaypee, Apollo, Fortis, Felix and B L Kapoor hospital every year.

During the last one year NIU has also obtained accreditations from various councils, including Council of Architecture (COA), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), Indian Nursing Council (INC), Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP) and Bar Council of India(BCI) and Association of Indian Universities(AIU). The management is working tirelessly to put another feather in the cap by receiving the most coveted NAAC accreditation (National Assessment and Accreditation Council).

Recently NIU has been awarded by ASSOCHAM as “The Most Preferred University providing global environment to International Students” 2019.

NIU is a sacred temple of learning and that ensures conducive environment for education. It maintains a strict anti- ragging policy and has achieved a 100% Ragging Free Campus. Moreover, realizing the significant role women play in the society and the growing need to provide them a sound education, NIU has launched a special scholarship scheme for women. The aim is to empower women so that they slowly become the backbone of the society, moving forward hand in hand with men, thereby leading to symbiotic relationship.

As the old adage goes, “All work and No play makes Jack a dull boy”, NIU believes in simulating the mind and body both. NIU has actively competed in many regional, state and national level sports meets regularly and their students have been victorious multiple times. In 2017 NIU participated in 45 events and won 21 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 11 bronze medals. In 2018, NIU participated in 42 events and won 27 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. With hard work, dedication and persistence students have always excelled in sports.

The University also recognizes its social and national responsibilities & thus organizes various social outreach programs like Blood Donation Camp, Health Check Up Camps, Swatch Bharat Abhiyan, tree plantation drive etc, to sensitize the students of their social responsibility.

Noida International University has also adopted five villages as a part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Mission.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. Some of the themes mentioned as suggestions are organic farming, water management, renewable energy, artisans, industries and livelihood, basic amenities etc.
