India’s Latest art gallery, Nine Fish is located in the heart of Mumbai in Byculla and spread across 3000 sq. ft in the New Great Eastern mills compound.
Located within the charming precincts of a historic textile mill in Central Mumbai, Nine Fish seeks to explore connections between multiple art-related endeavors. Nine Fish aims to open up a stimulating space within the larger art ecosystem for emerging art practitioners of exceptional talent from across South Asia. A space that engenders and encourages cross-cultural dialogue, critical enquiry and interdisciplinary collaborations With other institutions, galleries and collectives. Envisioned as part of the offering will be shows that cover a gamut of genres: painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography, video, documentary practice, performance and new media. Nine Fish aims to lend its space in support of tribal art and craft practices, while bringing within its ambit research / documentation projects in the field of architecture and design.
Understanding the intricacies of Art and his abiding love for modern and contemporary art, Dr. Anurag Kanoria, in association with his renowned brand The Great Eastern Home has curated Nine Fish Art Gallery, wherein new young artists will be given a huge platform to showcase their artwork. An intuitive sense of art along with his knowledge, expertise, and his attention to detail in planning and implementation, has led him to curate an art exhibition showcasing contemporary art that explores marginal issues of urbanization. Nine Fish Art Gallery has expansion plans to showcase various artists from different parts of India and abroad.
