If you are looking to upgrade your iPod Touch, this is the best option going.
I am sure you have heard about it. The new range of iPods is finally available, and you have to get one in your hands to just experience the ‘wow’ factor it offers. The new iPod is thinner (at 7.2 mm), has a longer battery life, and now has two cameras—one on the front and the other on the back. You can use this iPod to videoconference with another friend who has an iPod Touch 4th generation or an iPhone 4 owner. Sadly, video conference is only available on Apple’s captive chat client called FaceTime. I would love to see Skype video chat integration pretty soon.
The new iPod features an A4 processor—yes, the same thing that runs the iPad. So whether you’re browsing a web page, playing a game or even shooting and editing high definition videos on the iPod, the processor does not let you down.
The first thing that hits you about this iPod is its sharp 960 by 640 pixel, backlit LCD screen. Text and images are sharper than you can imagine. However, you can only appreciate the new retina display if you place the old iPod Touch next to it.
The Game Center application lets you play games with friends as competitors. It does not matter in what corner of the whole wide world they are, as long as all iPod Touch units playing the game are logged onto the internet. You can not only race with them, but also watch what games they are playing and even share their game scoreboards.
The new iPod Touch has a built-in gyroscope. This 3-axis gyroscope gives you fantastic pitch, roll and yaw movements, all while rotating around the centre of gravity, and better motion control for apps and games.
