The 100-metre tall, interconnected Ceyane and Apex towers imploded at 2:30PM within the Supertech-built Emerald Court complex in Noida. The demolition, executed by the Mumbai-based Edifice Engineering and the South Africa-based Jet Demolition, was a natural outcome of the illegality of the structures highlighted by the Supreme Court in its August 31, 2021 judgment.
The infamous ‘twin towers’ flouted every norm and gobbled up the green area promised to the residents of Emerald Court, who had no choice but to seek justice. The demolition is their victory and a stern warning to builders to stick to the plan.
