Your Weekend Streaming List Is Here and It Has Something for Everyone

The last weekend of May 2026 arrives with one of the strongest OTT release slates of the month. Across Netflix, Prime Video, and JioHotstar, there is enough to binge watch across every mood and genre. The May 26 to 29 window alone features over a dozen new titles dropping across platforms.

Spider-Noir (May 27)

Spider-Noir, on Amazon Prime Video, is one of the most anticipated OTT releases of the weekend. The eight-episode series stars Nicolas Cage as Ben Reilly, a washed-up private investigator in 1930s New York who abandoned his superhero identity after a personal tragedy. For fans of stylised noir storytelling, this is the TV show of the weekend.

A Good Girl's Guide to Murder Season 2 (May 27)

Also on Netflix, the second season follows teen sleuth Pip Fitz-Amobi as she is pulled into a dangerous new mystery when a classmate's brother vanishes before a major court trial. The season is based on Holly Jackson's bestselling novel and is one of the most anticipated binge watch comebacks of the year.

Kara (May 28) and Leader (May 29)

Tamil audiences are spoiled for choice this weekend. Kara stars Dhanush as a reformed thief dragged back into crime during the 1991 Gulf War fuel crisis after corrupt officials seize his family's land.

Leader is another high-stakes Tamil action release featuring Legend Saravanan in a spy/crime thriller worth watching on Amazon Prime.

Dead Man's Wire (May 28)

Directed by Gus Van Sant, Dead Man's Wire is scheduled to land on Netflix. Bill Skarsgård plays a paranoid real estate developer who rigs a shotgun to a hostage's neck while demanding a public apology. Claustrophobic, intense, and difficult to look away from.

Jetlee (May 25) and Desert Warrior (May 26)

Jetlee is a Telugu comedy thriller about an amnesiac caught in mid-air chaos on a flight from Dubai, where secret agents and assassins are hunting a fugitive billionaire.

Desert Warrior is a gripping historical epic about a princess and a bandit uniting warring tribes in 7th-century Arabia, perfect for audiences looking for intense, big-budget action this weekend.

Funny AF with Kevin Hart (May 26) and Rafa (May 29)

Not every weekend calls for thrillers. Funny AF with Kevin Hart brings a stand-up competition format to Netflix, while Rafa offers an intimate documentary portrait of Rafael Nadal on Netflix. Untold UK: Vinnie Jones also drops this week on Netflix, rounding out a weekend slate that genuinely has no weak slots.
