Wamiqa Gabbi’s next major role is in the upcoming ‘DC’, directed by Arun Matheswaran. Wamiqa plays Chandramukhi to a modern-day Devdas, played by director Lokesh Kanagaraj in his acting debut. Wamiqa is also all set to appear in ‘G2’, Adivi Sesh’s globetrotting spy thriller, which is a sequel to Goodachari (2018). ‘G2’ also stars Emraan Hashmi and is directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.
Friends Again
It was touted as one of the biggest fallouts of the Hindi film industry. But now all seems well. Actor Kartik Aaryan and producer Karan Johar have put aside their disagreement and now joined hands to make ‘Naagzilla’, the male version of the Naagin we have seen so often. Quite a hiss-story.
Karishma’s Calendar
She’s done it all. Karishma Kotak has been a Kingfisher Calendar girl, acted in a Chiranjeevi film (Shankar Dada Zindabad) directed by Prabhu Deva, and is now waiting for her movie with Bobby Deol. She has, in between, quietly become the face of hosting cricket matches with poise and pizzazz, even dealing with a sudden proposal on air recently. She’s interviewed star cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. And though she returned home to London during Covid after 15 years in Mumbai to be with her mother and brother, she still travels where the work takes her—from being featured in Vogue to being part of Qatar Tourism. Karishma has sailed through the door opened by Mandira Bedi. And as she says, it has taken many years to become “an overnight success”.
