The soon-to-be-released movie ‘Bhoot Bangla’ sees action icon Akshay Kumar reuniting with director Priyadarshan after 14 years. It also features rising star Wamiqa Gabbi. Taking a leaf out of Kumar’s book, Gabbi has done some of her own stunts in the movie. Varada Sethu portrays Ann Baxter in the newly released The Other Bennet Sister on BBC but the Kerala-born, British-Indian actor has been seen in several shows before this gig. Some of her most prominent roles include Cinta Kaz in Andor (2022) and Belinda Chandra in the latest season of Doctor Who (2025). Acting chops aside, the 33-year-old is also a trained classical dancer.

 A Fresh Voice

Priya Kansara is the vocal presence that guides Ryland Grace (Ryan Gosling) as Mary, the AI onboard his spaceship, in the new blockbuster Project Hail Mary. Her role is described as a “presence” rather than a physical character, a vital emotional anchor to Ryland, who is on a life-changing intergalactic journey. Kansara made her debut on Netflix’s hit show Bridgerton, and had a leading role in Nida Manzoor’s film, Polite Society (2023).
