Everyone wants to be in an Imtiaz Ali romance movie. Sharvari Wagh, who will appear in the upcoming films ‘Race 4’ and YRF’s ‘Alpha’ this year, is now in one. Her co-stars in Ali’s new movie are Vedang Raina and the singer Diljit Dosanjh. The film is a love story set in India in the 1940s. Given how beautifully Ali presents his women, Sharvari should be chuffed.
After Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s much-publicised wedding in Udaipur, it was Allu Sirish’s turn to get married. Sirish, an actor like his brother Allu Arjun, has tied the knot with business professional Nayanika Reddy. Many Telugu film industry notables made an appearance at the wedding in Hyderabad.
Reena Datta is Aamir Khan’s first wife but she has always been so much more than that. Datta, an artist, has captured the disappearing Mumbai suburb of Bandra in her art exhibition Bandra: Before It Disappears. As she writes in her gallery brief: “Bandra is changing fast…in narrow lanes, tiled roofs, weathered balconies and pastel facades quietly holding their ground. These homes carry memory in their walls, standing between past and present.” The exhibition will be on view at Bombay Art Society till March 12.
