Bold Debut

Playing Lisa with a perfect pout, Sana Thampi is sensuous enough for not one but two Gurfateh Pirzadas in the anthology film, Lust Stories 3. In the segment directed by Kiran Rao, centring on a nail artist who encounters a pair of scamming twins played by Pirzada, Thampi makes a sensational debut. A former model, and ceramic artist, she was discovered by Rao’s casting agent and the filmmaker couldn’t be happier about it. Expect this debutant to make waves.

Dancing King

Ankur Rathee left the US to make a career for himself in India and found roles in Four More Shots Please! and Made in Heaven. But now, Best of the Best, Netflix’s new dance movie directed by Hasan Minhaj has given the actor one of his career’s biggest highlights. Playing Ronak, the dreamboat captain of the UCLA dance team, he looks good and dances even better. Rathee may well find more work in Hollywood soon.

Global Spotlight

Tenzin Dalha is familiar to us from his small, striking roles in The Family Man and Rana Naidu. The Delhi-based actor of Tibetan origin has got a major international break, playing a young Tenzing Norgay in the upcoming movie, ‘Tenzing’. It recreates the historic conquest of Mount Everest by Edmund Hillary (played by Tom Hiddleston), and Norgay, whose older version is portrayed by Genden Phuntsok.
