Issa, played by Amita Rao, is the heart of FX comedy series Adults. The show, in its second season, is like Friends but for Gen Z and follows five buddies loving and living in Queens, New York (where else?). Issa may constantly switch jobs, but the 27-year old Rao has steadfastly built on her career as a come dian, actor and writer who previously made her mark in the series, Deli Boys.

Vijay Jayapal, the film maker behind the 2019 horror film Nirvana Inn, has wrapped up work on his new film ‘An Idiot’. A political satire inspired by the assassination of jour nalist Gauri Lankesh, the dialogue-free film features Abhinav Jha and Tamil actor Anupama Kumar. It’s a crime story with an absurdist age for the cur rent political culturescape.
