Stargazer: Farhan Akhtar, Priyanka Chopra and Simone Ashley

 Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming ‘Don 3’ may be having starter trouble, but his acting career just took off with a new role. He will play the great sitarist Pandit Ravi Shankar in Sam Mendes’ ambitious four-part cinematic event on The Beatles, for Sony Pictures. All four films are set to be released simultaneously in April 2028. This is not Akhtar’s first Hollywood stint. He also had a brief role as Waleed in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel in 2022.

Priyanka the Pirate

Priyanka Chopra as a retired pirate in Prime Video’s forth­coming film, ‘The Bluff’. What’s not to love? And she brought her A-game to the promotions, dressed in leather. Vin Diesel compared Priyanka to, wait for it, the late Nelson Mandela, because of her determination to make the world a better place. Diesel also pointed out that all three share the same date of birth.

Simone Ashley is on the rise. Soon to be in the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada, the breakout star in Season 2 of Netflix’s Bridgerton in 2022 is now in ‘Peaked’, a new film from A24. Connor Storrie, from Heated Rivalry will be a co-star. Ashley’s real name is Simone Ashwini Pillai. Born to Tamil-speaking parents, she grew up in Surrey, England.
