Her Own Storyteller

Anjali Patil is a talented artist who has played a variety of memorable roles. Now, she is developing a science fiction film, ‘Average Girl’, and producing the Tamil arthouse drama ‘Selvi’. In 2021, she made her directorial debut with the documentary, Neither a Girl Nor a Woman. Patil received the National Film Award-Special Mention in 2014 for her performance in the Telugu film, Naa Bangaaru Talli. She is now scripting her own story.

Sister Act

Stranger things have happened. Celina Jaitly was known for being in comedies like No Entry (2005) and Jawani Diwani (2006). She has now been cast as Sister Nibedita in the eponymous forthcoming biopic by Ram Kamal Mukherjee. Jaitly, who was Femina Miss India Universe in 2001, has been in a spate of controversies in the last few months, including a public divorce and custody battle. She is also involved in a fight for the release of her brother Major (Retd) Vikrant Jaitly, a former Indian Army’s Special Forces officer detained in the UAE since 2024.

Into the Northeast

Adarsh Gourav has many accomplishments, including his role in The White Tiger (2021). Now he has put his talents to use in Voices of the Land – Tales of Northeast, a six-part documentary series that follows Gourav as he explores the heri­tage, ecology, and indigenous cultures of the Northeast.
