Just days ahead of his 61st birthday, Shah Rukh Khan delighted fans on Tuesday by unveiling a new poster of ‘King,’ his most anticipated film of the year.

The poster shows Khan in a vengeful avatar, gun in hand, striding out of a tunnel engulfed in towering flames. He wears an unbuttoned dark shirt that exposes a bloodied chest, a gritty look that hints at an intense, action-packed spectacle and adds to the anticipation around the film.

The cast includes Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. According to reports, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor Khan are also expected to make special appearances.

SRK INTERACTS WITH FANS

Khan recently held an interactive session on X, answering fans’ questions about ‘King’ and sharing updates on post-production, visual effects and music. He said he has been working late nights and closely overseeing the post-production and VFX teams. “Troubling RC VFX a lot,” he joked. “Sitting on Harry and Keiten’s head to deliver the best. I think they might ban me from coming to the office late nights soon.”

He said the director is putting in the same effort. “Sid toh bechara laga hua hai,” he said, adding that Anand is taking his time to put their best foot forward so audiences “enjoy it and feel proud and happy with #King.”

On the music, he told fans that Arijit Singh is giving the soundtrack its final polish. “He is a perfectionist; it takes some time, rightfully,” he said.

Asked whether ‘King’ will be squeezed by the crowded December release calendar, he brushed it off. “Not at all,” he quipped. “Baaki bread pieces ka bhi toh socho... hum toh center ki tasty Tikki hain.”
