Filming for A Quiet Place Part III is officially underway, with John Krasinski confirming the development on Sunday through his Instagram account.
Krasinski, who is also attached as writer and producer, shared a photo that offered little detail about the upcoming instalment but hinted at a return to New York City.
The image featured a clapperboard placed against the Manhattan Bridge Arch and Colonnade in the city’s Chinatown area.
“Here. We. Go! #Part III,” read the caption accompanying the post.
The franchise began in 2018 with the release of A Quiet Place, which emerged as a major box office success, grossing more than $300 million worldwide against a modest production budget.
The film starred Krasinski alongside his wife, Emily Blunt, and followed the Abbott family as they navigated a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by creatures that hunt through sound.
The series expanded with A Quiet Place: Part II, which broadened the narrative beyond the family’s isolated farm, and A Quiet Place: Day One, which explored the beginning of the alien invasion in New York City.
