White America Great Again

IS MAKE AMERICA Great Again (MAGA) really about White America Great Again (WAGA)? Vinod Khosla, the Indian-origin Silicon Valley billionaire, thinks it is.

Khosla is co-founder of software giant Sun Microsystems. Launched in 1982, Sun Microsystems was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2010. Oracle is one of Silicon Valley’s iconic companies with a market value of nearly half-a-trillion dollars.

After selling Sun Microsystems to Oracle Corporation for $7.4 billion, Vinod Khosla founded Khosla Ventures, a Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm, in 2004. The company currently has $15 billion in assets under management (AUM).

The battle between Khosla and Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest man, was triggered by Musk’s post in response to a user posting this on X: “In 1900, the White population of the world was 36%, today it is 8%.”

Musk responded on X: “White people are a rapidly diminishing minority of global population.”

Khosla replied to Musk on X: “@Elon Musk doesn’t want MAGA, he wants WAGA or ‘White America great again’ as racism is a great and desirable paradigm. All non-whites in Tesla, Space X, X etc and all decent Whites should quit and join our portfolio. Email us your LinkedIn!”

Though Khosla’s post was partly in jest, it clearly hit a raw nerve in Musk who hit back with an expletive-filled post: “Vinod you’re not just a pompous a**hole that you tried to stop the public from using a public beach near your house, you’ve also gone full retard.

“My partner, Shivon, is half Indian and my eldest son with her is named in honour of the great Indian physicist Chandrashekhar.”

Other users mocked Musk: “You are a racist. Invoking Indian names is akin to saying ‘some of my best friends are black’.”

Now clearly incensed, Khosla posted a 230- word riposte. In summary, this is what he told Musk: “Instead of bringing your family into it, may be try not tweeting ‘SEEMINGLY’ racist stuff next time? Many would appreciate it if you acknowledge you are not trying to establish a White society in America, and not a WAGA, and racism is not behind your many laments around white birth rates, declining % of population and many similar laments.

“As to the beach issue you’d appreciate me standing up to the principal [sic] of defending ‘the principal [sic] of private property’ instead of giving in to whatever the Coastal Commission wants.

“Every court ruling [in Friends of Martin Beach case including all appeals] so far reaffirms there has NEVER been free access to the beach through private property, just paid access for parking, through the beach is public property [I’ve never asserted it isn’t]. You would appreciate it if you knew the facts.

“Unfortunately I have no proof to refute your claim that I am a pompous a**hole and retarded. I have said publicly that I do admire your extraordinary entrepreneurial skills.”

Musk wisely met that with silence and both billionaires went back to running their successful businesses. But the question remained hanging in the air: is US President Donald Trump’s MAGA movement really about WAGA?

Musk himself has publicly bemoaned the “decline of Western Civilisation”. He has backed Trump’s acolytes like the late Charlie Kirk who was assassinated last year. Kirk carried his white supremacist ideology on his sleeve.

Trump’s cabinet is filled with other white supremacists, including Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Trump points to the number of Indian-origin people in his cabinet. In fact, there are none. Kash Patel is director of FBI, but that is not a cabinet position. Cuban-origin Secretary of State Marco Rubio is the sole Hispanic in a senior position in Trump’s white cabinet. One African- American and one Latino have been given low-profile labour and housing departments.

Trump and Musk share similar racial beliefs. Both falsely accuse South Africa’s government of conducting genocide against white colonist-settlers in the post-apartheid era, offering them immediate US citizenship.

Trump has ordered all references to America’s brutal 300-year history of slavery and forcible occupation of Native American land to be removed from public libraries, university curricula and school textbooks.

MAGA, as Khosla said, is code for WAGA. The bad news is that, as Musk pointed out, whites are a diminishing global minority. In time, they could be a vanishing global minority.
