Pannu says with Gandhari, she is “venturing into new emotional depths”. ‘Gandhari’, with its powerful story of a mother driven by revenge, felt like the perfect fit, she says. The film, where she co-stars with Ishwak Singh, will be released on Netflix.

He’s like Solomon, sitting there,” says Irani, alluding to how Basu is wise like the Biblical king.
