The Devil Wears Prada (2006) is one of the most beloved movies of the past two decades. There has been much excitement about its upcoming sequel, and the return of Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt. Guess who’s also cast in it, probably as the new ingénue? Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, who portrayed Kate Sharma in the Netflix hit. Ashley is also known for her roles in the series Sex Education (2019) and the 2025 film Picture This.

Surveen’s Success

Surveen Chawla has had a long, hard climb from television to streaming, but she is finally getting roles that are worthy of her talent. So far, 2025 has been a banner year for her. She appeared in Season 4 of JioHotstar’s Criminal Justice as a mysterious mother of a child with Asperger’s Syndrome. Then she returned for the second season of Netflix’s Rana Naidu as the protagonist’s long-suffering wife. Now, in the upcoming ‘Mandala Murders’ on Netflix, Chawla plays the enigmatic politician Ananya Bharadwaj. Expect something unexpected from this actress.

The Return of Lisa

Lisa Haydon was once a regular on the ramp until marriage and motherhood took her away from modelling. She is back now, at 39, on the ramp of Paris Fashion Week, where she walked for designer Rahul Mishra’s couture collection. The model who was introduced to cinema with the delightful Aisha in 2010, is now a mother of three and lives in Thailand, but fame still beckons. Whether she wants it again is another matter.
