X10 is Sony’s first Android phone, and also its best in a while. It is sure to leave a lasting impression.

The new user experience (UX) platform of Xperia is built on the Android OS and has two main interactive features: Time Scape and Media Scape. Time Scape offers you a unified communication interface. You can choose to communicate with contacts in your phone book over SMS, email or even Twitter, Facebook or other social networking IDs. And with Media Scape, you can see all your files grouped together in one scrollable list, very similar to the cover flow on Apple devices.

The Infinity button works in Media Scape also, letting you do what Genius does on iPods. The X10, though, will search for the same artiste on YouTube as well. However, for this to work, you will need Wi-Fi or a 3G connection.

The usual bells and whistles of a multimedia friendly phone are all there, including an 8.1 megapixel camera, featuring geo-tagging. The X10 comes with an 8 GB microSD card bundled, and has 1 GB memory built-in. This light 135 gm phone may look bulky with a big 4 inch screen, but is just 13 mm thin. It runs a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, so it is also fast. Though most phones have started looking at OLEDs to give you a longer battery life, X10’s is still a standard TFT touch screen.
