At functions, you are on stage with stars of the victory. Out of politeness, you too are feted. But in your heart, you know you did little to deserve the same rewards. On Tuesday in Mumbai, a sports manufacturer felicitated its clients in the Indian World Cup winning team. MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh were there. But the other three on the dais—Piyush Chawla, Yusuf Pathan and Harbhajan Singh—had an ordinary World Cup. Yet, they too were presented a golden bat, like Dhoni And Yuvraj. One wouldn’t be surprised if they felt a trifle embarrassed.
